For over 30 years, Casa Familiar has hosted an Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

At Casa’s annual dinner we come together with nearly 100 volunteers including professional chefs, elected officials, police, teachers, business owners and other community leaders to serve our community members. In years past we have served over 1500 meals in one day. Due to lingering concerns surrounding the pandemic and this year’s flu season, our traditional community-wide event will be reinvented as we take a different approach by preparing 650 individual dinners for families and seniors in a to-go setting. Families will be able to pick-up their dinners, while our most vulnerable population, our seniors at Villa Merced and Vista Lane apartments, will be delivered their meals in order to keep them healthy while making them feel the support of their community.
